Every year we took the kids to pick out there pumpkin to carve. I always picked out one special to cook and use for my favorite recipes. Pumpkin bread was the favorite of my family.

Ingredients
- 1 pound prepared pumpkin (canned is fine)
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup corn oil
- 4 - eggs
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2/3 cup water
How To Make indiana pumpkin bread

Step 1For best results use Large bowel and wooden spoon. (not Mixer). Prepare 3-4 loaf pans by generously greasing and flouring. Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Combine sugar, oil, eggs. and pumpkin. Mix well.

Step 3Sift all dry ingredients and add to the pumpkin mixture all at once and mix well.

Step 4Add water and mix again.

Step 5Divide pumpkin bread into the 3-4 pretreated loaf pans.

Step 6Bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour or till tooth pick comes out clean when inserted in middle. Makes 3-4 loaves.
