Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 - large bananas, mashed (about 1 1/3 cup)
- 2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
How To Make holiday banana bread

Step 1In a large bowl, cream margarine & sugar until light.

Step 2Beat in eggs and bananas. (Mixture will look curdled.)

Step 3In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Stir into banana mixture just to blend - do not overmix.

Step 4Pour batter into a greased 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan or (3) 5 1/2" x 3" x 2 1/4" loaf pans.

Step 5Bake in a 350 degree oven for 55 - 65 minutes for 9" x 5" x 3" or 35 - 45 minutes for smaller loaves or until tests done.

Step 6Cool 10 minutes in pan; remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. May be sprinkled with powdered sugar before slicing.
