This Banana bread recipe is moist and full of flavorful goodness!I always make this for my husband to share with his co-workers, It's always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt - (the macadamia nuts are salted)
  • 3/4 cup salted butter- softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 cups bananas- mashed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped

How To Make hawaiian macadamia nut banana bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease two 9-by-5-inch loaf pans.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl combine flour, soda, and salt with a wire whisk; set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl cream butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer. Add eggs, bananas,vanilla and sour cream beat at medium speed until thick. Scrape down sides of bowl.
  • Step 4
    Add the flour mixture macadamia nuts and chocolate chips, then blend at low speed just until combined. Do not overmix. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  • Step 5
    Bake on center rack of oven for 60-70 minutes. A toothpick inserted in center should come out clean, and the bread should pull away from the sides.
  • Step 6
    Cool in pan, for 10 minutes. Turn pans on sides; cool to room temperature before removing and slicing.
