This is a great tropical flavored banana bread.It smells so good while baking, you can hardly wait to eat it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 - medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 can 8 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut

How To Make hawaiian banana bread

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and ginger in a bowl and stir with a whisk to combine. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Place sugar, oil, sour cream and eggs in another bowl and beat at medium speed until blended (1 minute). Add banana, vanilla and pineapple. Mix until blended.
  • Step 3
    Add flour mixture and mix until just moist.
  • Step 4
    Stir in macadamia nuts and coconut.
  • Step 5
    Pour batter into a greased and floured loaf pan and sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step 6
    Cool in pan 10 minutes on wire rack. Remove from pan and cool completely.
