Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 3 cups ap flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/2 cups semi - sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans - divided
- 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin, not mix
- SPICED GLAZE
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
How To Make harvest loaf

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray 2 - 9 x 5 loaf pans with non stick cooking spray and then flour.

Step 2In a medium bowl, beat butter until smooth. Add sugar; beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 3Sift together dry ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with pumpkin, ending with flour mixture.

Step 4Stir in chocolate chips and one cup pecans.

Step 5Spoon into pans evenly. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.

Step 6Bake for 65 - 70 minutes, or until pick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pans; remove to wire racks.

Step 7Spice glaze: Mix ingredients together until desired consistency is reached.

Step 8Glaze with spice glaze while still warm.
