Ingredients

  • YOU MAY USE ANY FRUIT THAT YOU LIKE, I HAVE USED FRESH PLUMS AND BERRIES, THEY ARE ALL JUST AS GOOD
  • 4 slices french bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 dash milk
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 2 large apples
  • 1/2-3/4 cup sugar

How To Make harvest apple french toast

  • Step 1
First fry your bacon however you prefer it, set aside, keep warm. Save bacon grease
  • Step 2
Mix egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon together well. Cut french bread thick 1 inch -2 inches, dip into egg mixture, the thicker the bread the longer you soak it. Fry in the bacon grease, add a little margarine if not enough bacon grease.
  • Step 3
While french toast is cooking put the butter into a frying pan, slice apples as if for apple pie, start frying on low to medium heat until tender, add sugar, stir until it melts and looks golden.
  • Step 4
Place French toast onto plate , Pour over a couple spoonfuls of the apple sauce, however much you want, place bacon beside it and serve.
