Ingredients
- YOU MAY USE ANY FRUIT THAT YOU LIKE, I HAVE USED FRESH PLUMS AND BERRIES, THEY ARE ALL JUST AS GOOD
- 4 slices french bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1 dash milk
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 dash cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 stick butter
- 2 large apples
- 1/2-3/4 cup sugar
How To Make harvest apple french toast
-
Step 1First fry your bacon however you prefer it, set aside, keep warm. Save bacon grease
-
Step 2Mix egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon together well. Cut french bread thick 1 inch -2 inches, dip into egg mixture, the thicker the bread the longer you soak it. Fry in the bacon grease, add a little margarine if not enough bacon grease.
-
Step 3While french toast is cooking put the butter into a frying pan, slice apples as if for apple pie, start frying on low to medium heat until tender, add sugar, stir until it melts and looks golden.
-
Step 4Place French toast onto plate , Pour over a couple spoonfuls of the apple sauce, however much you want, place bacon beside it and serve.
