Grandma's Applesauce Bread
How to Make Grandma's Applesauce Bread
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 by 4 inch loaf pan.
Put flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt in the bowl of a mixer and beat on low just to combine.
- Add the applesauce and egg. Mix briefly to combine but do not mix for more than a minute or so. Stir in the nuts by hand. Pour into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 45 - 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool in pan on a rack for 20 minutes, then remove from pan and let cool completely.
- NOTE: I recently made this recipe with blueberry flavored applesauce and it was awesome. I plan to try the peach or raspberry flavors, too. :)
