Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (crisco)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 3 - bananas
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make grandma evie's banana nut bread

Step 1Cream the shortening, sugar, eggs, and bananas. Add the soda, flour and nuts.

Step 2Grease loaf pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass). Bake about 1 hr. and 10 min. or until a toothpick comes out clean when checked. I always cover the loaf when it is nicely browned with aluminum foil to keep it from overbrowning. Cool on rack and wrap in foil to keep moist. Enjoy!
