golden sweet cornbread
This is the cornbread I always make and is most requested by my family. If you like a sweeter cornbread, then this recipe is for you. It's so easy to make and always turns out perfectly! It's delicious with chili, slathered with butter and honey, or just by itself.

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
How To Make golden sweet cornbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9 inch round cake pan (or square works!) with non stick cooking spray.

Step 2In large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg, milk and vegetable oil until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Step 3Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
