Ingredients

1 c
honey
1/4 tsp
ground ginger
1/8 tsp
ground cloves
1/8 tsp
cinnamon
1/8 tsp
ground licorice
1 3/4 c
dry bread crumbs
1 Tbsp
anise seeds

How to Make Gingerbread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat honey in top of of double boiler, add spices (except anise) and stir to blend
  • 2Add bread crumbs and mix thoroughly
  • 3Cover and cook on medium heat for 15 mintues
  • 4Sprinkle anise seeds on top and press gently into loaf.
  • 5Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Serve at room temperature in thin slices.
