  • 1 c
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground licorice
  • 1 3/4 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp
    anise seeds

How to Make Gingerbread


  1. Heat honey in top of of double boiler, add spices (except anise) and stir to blend
  2. Add bread crumbs and mix thoroughly
  3. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15 mintues
  4. Sprinkle anise seeds on top and press gently into loaf.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Serve at room temperature in thin slices.
