my mom makes this for the holidays it's good and the smell of it baking is awesome

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1 - egg

How To Make ginger bread with cinnamon cream

  • Step 1
    Mix dry ingredients together right in your mixing bowl. Then add in other ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Step 2
    Beat for 2 minutes and pour into a well greased 9x9 inch pan.
  • Step 3
    Bake for around 30 minutes at 350 or until top springs back lightly when you touch it in the middle.
  • Step 4
    It is best served warm, cut into squares and topped with whipped cream, regular or cinnamon cream.
