Ingredients
- DANISH
- 1 package crescent rolls (8oz)
- FILLING
- 1 package cream cheese, room temperature, (8 oz)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon lime or lemon zest
- 1 cup pecans (whole or pieces or halves...whatever you like)
- DRIZZLE
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 5-6 tablespoons half and half or heavy cream
- 1 pinch (actually a splash) almond extract (vanilla is ok, too)
How To Make fake out cheese danish

Step 1Roll out crescents and separate by 2s's (so that rectangles are forms) and place side by side so that one long rectangle is formed. Press to seal seems.

Step 2Mix filling ingredients except pecans together and spread down center. Top with pecans.

Step 3Cut diagonal slits up from the outer edge to the filling. Fold over each other so that a braided pattern is formed.

Step 4Bake for 20 - 30 minutes in 375 oven. Check for extra browning and cover with foil if it started to become too dark. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

Step 5Mix together Drizzle ingredients and drizzle over "danish".
