Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
How To Make dianne's raisin bread

Step 1Soak raisins in boiling water in bowl at least 3 hours. In mixing bowl blend shortening, sugar, egg, salt, molasses and vanilla. To this add flour and baking soda and stir(do not beat)until dry ingredients are moistened. Add raisins and the water.

Step 2Turn into greased loaf pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
