I know there are tons of Banana Nut Bread Recipes. This one I have done for years and just one day put it all together and wow was it awesome. I have neighbors, friends and family begging me to make it, including my kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter or margarine, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces, coarsley chopped

How To Make banana pecan bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9"x5" bread pan. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg. Sift Flour and baking soda together, and add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Fold in bananas, vanilla and pecans. Pour mixture into pan.
  • Step 2
    Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Recipe makes 1 loaf so I double mine for 2 loaves.
