i remember my mom making this and it would smell so good i could hardly wait to it was ready to eat

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin, not pie filling
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spices
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • FOR THE STREUSEL TOPPING:
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

How To Make cream cheese pumpkin bread with streusel topping

  • Step 1
    preheat butter to 350.
  • Step 2
    grease 2 9x5 inch loaf pans.
  • Step 3
    in the bowl of a mixer, cream together the sugar, cream cheese and butter.
  • Step 4
    add the eggs and pumpkin and mix well.
  • Step 5
    in a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Step 6
    stir and gradually add into your wet ingredients. stir in pecans. pour the batter into pans.
  • Step 7
    in a small bowl combine the streusel ingredients and mix. evenly divide and sprinkle over the 2 loaves.
  • Step 8
    bake for about 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in loaf comes out clean.
