Ingredients For cream cheese filled nut bread

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    grated lemon rind
  • 2-1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts

How To Make cream cheese filled nut bread

    Combine cream cheese, sugar and 1 egg and beat well. Set aside.

    Beat remaining 2 eggs in mixing bowl until frothy. Mix in cooking oil, milk and lemon rind.

    Measure remaining 6 ingredients into a separate bowl. Mix well. Pour all at once into egg-milk mixture. Stir until moistened

    Spoon 1/2 batter into greased 9 X 5 inch loaf pan. Spoon on cheese mixture. Cover with remaining batter by dropping small spoonfuls here and there.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 15 minutes in pan and then cool on rack.
