Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread

This is my go-to-recipe Banana Nut Bread I have been using for years. I have a good friend whose husband won't eat any other, but she sometimes loses the recipe and has to ask me for it. I'm posting it here in JAP so she can find it easier.

    8-oz package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 c
  • 2
    eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2
    ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 c
    packaged biscuit mix
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts (i like walnuts)
  • 1/2 c
    semisweet chocolate (optional)

How to Make Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in eggs and banana.
  5. Stir in biscuit mix just until moistened.
  6. Stir in nuts and/or chocolate pieces, if desired.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. If necessary, loosely cover with foil the last 15 minutes of baking to prevent over browning.
  9. Remove from pan and cool completely.
