Ingredients

  • - 1 3/4 cups flour
  • - 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • - 1/2 tsp. salt
  • - 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • - 1 cup dried cranberries
  • - 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • - 3/4 cup sugar
  • - vanilla bean seeds scraped from 1 vanilla bean pod

How To Make cranberry walnut quick bread mix

  • Step 1
    Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. put in a 1 quart jar. Layer the walnuts on top, followed by the cranberries and then the brown sugar, packing down the brown sugar lightly to hold it in place.
  • Step 2
    Mix the sugar and vanilla bean seeds together and add to the jar as the top layer. Seal with the lid, decorate the jar if you like, and attach a label with thee instructions for the recipient:

    To make cranberry walnut quickbread: 2 large eggs 3/4 cup whole milk 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted, 1/2 stick Preheat oven to 350. Grease a loaf pan. Beat together eggs, milk and butter in a bowl. Add all contents of jar and mix til just combined. Pour into the loaf pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes til top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Flip pan on its side and let the brad cool slightly before removing from pan and cooling on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf
