An easy to make, moist, delicious loaf, which always gets raves. The combination of cranberry and orange make it special.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
  • 1 1/2 cups cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

How To Make cranberry orange loaf

  • Step 1
    First bowl: Combine butter, sugar and egg. Beat until smooth. Stir in juice.
  • Step 2
    Second bowl: Measure dry ingredients. Stir in orange rind, cranberries and nuts. Add to batter, stirring just until moistened.
  • Step 3
    Put into a greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    Cool on wire rack for 15 minutes, then remove from pan. Cool completely.
