Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon lemon rind, grated
- - juice from 1 lemon
- 3/4 cup applesauce
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 - egg
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
How To Make cranberry bread

Step 1Put in a large bowl and blend lemon, applesauce, margarine, sugar and egg.

Step 2When well blended add cranberries. Sift together in another bowl all ingredients except nuts. Gradually add to cranberry mixture.

Step 3Stir well adding nuts last. Put into a buttered loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
