Cranberry Bread

Ingredients

2 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt
-
1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1 cgranulated sugar

1egg, well beaten
-
2 Tbspbutter or margarine, melted

1/2 cfresh orange juice
-
·grated rind of 1 orange
-
2 Tbsphot water
-
3/4 cchopped pecans
-
1 ccranberries, quartered
How to Make Cranberry Bread
- Sift dry ingredients together, and add egg, butter, orange juice, and hot water.
- Fold in nuts, cranberries, and orange rind.
- Bake in two greased loaf pans at 350 for 1 hour or until light brown.
- Cool and wrap in wax paper. Let ripen in refrigerator for 24 hours or more.
- SANDY'S NOTE: This bread is so good warm with butter. Also, it freezes well.
