    enriched (unbleached) flour
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 5 Tbsp
    chilled unsalted butter
  • 6 Tbsp
    half and half
  • 1

  • 1/2 c
    fresh or dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c
    vanilla or white chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp
orange juice (opt. if using dried cranberries)

How to Make Cranberry and White Chocolate Scones

  1. If using dried cranberries, put cranberries and orange juice in small bowl for 5-20 minutes so juice soaks into cranberries. In bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and butter. Add half and half, egg, cranberries and white chocolate chips and stir until dough holds together.
  2. Turn out on lightly floured surface, and gently knead for 2 minutes. Form into 1/2 inch thick round ball cut into 8 wedges. Spray baking sheet with baking spray oil and put wedges onto sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 14 minutes or until golden brown.
