A traditional family southern dish always prepared from Uncle Joe during holidays in Nacogdoches, TX. Looks scary but tastes sooo good!

Ingredients

  • 4-5 - boneless chicken breasts
  • 9x9 - pan of cornbread-cooled and crumbled
  • 8 slices one day old bread torn into small pieces
  • 4 - eggs-beaten
  • 1/2 medium onion-chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz) chicken broth
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 tablespoons margerine

How To Make cornbread crockpot casserole

  • Step 1
    Put chicken breast in pot of boiling water and cook 20 mins. Let cool and cut into small pieces.
  • Step 2
    Stir together all ingredients but margerine, in crockpot until well blended.
  • Step 3
    Dout with butter. Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
