we made this quite often as children, when left on our own.. It was easy use up a loaf of bread, during the war years, and our folks not at home, but working in a war plant. Early 1940. Now it might be time to introduce our grand children, and great grand children to this very special cinnamon treat....6/12/12

2 - slices white bread
2 teaspoons butter
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How To Make cinnamon toast

Step 1

1.. Mix cinnamon and sugar together. 2.. Toast bread. 3.. Butter toast. 4.. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the warm toast. 5.. Shake off excess cinnamon mixture. 6.. Eat,enjoy with a glass of milk.... Go to school.
