Ingredients For cinnamon rolls
- DOUGH

1/2 cgranlated sugar

1/2 cvegetable oil

2 cmilk scalded

4 3/4 cflour divided

1 Tbspinstant yeast

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1 1/2 tspsalt
- FILLING

12 Tbspbutter, softened

1 cbrown sugar
-
1 Tbspground cinnamon
-
1/2 tspground cardamom
- ICING
-
2 ozwhipped cream cheese
-
1/2 csoftened butter
-
2 Tbspheavy cream, more if necessary

1/2 tspvanilla extract

1 tspsalt
How To Make cinnamon rolls

1In a bowl of a stand mixer, add the sugar and oil. Pour in the scalded milk and mix. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes.

2Add 4 cups of flour and sprinkle the yeast on the top. Mix until no dry streaks left.

3Scrape down the bowl and cover the bowl and let rest 1 hour. Until it doubles.

4Add the remaining 3/4 cup flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

5Scrape down the bowl and place the dough in an oiled bowl. Cover and let rest 1 hour.

6Roll the dough using a little flour into a 12 X 18 rectangle. Spread the butter over the top of the dough.

7Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom. Sprinkle it evenly over the butter.

8Roll up from the long end. It should be about 20 inches.

9Cut into 12 even pieces. Place on parchment lined paper. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let set 1 hour.

10Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Remove the plastic wrap and bake about 20 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting.

11To make the frosting, beat the butter and cream cheese together. Add the salt and heavy cream. Mix in the vanilla. Mix the powdered sugar in, adding a little more cream if needed.

12Frost the rolls.
