cinnamon maple pull-aparts
(1 RATING)
I invented this recipe at the request of my son and his friend. I rewrote a recipe for "Cheesy Garlic Pull-Aparts" which the boys also enjoyed, and then asked if I could make cinnamon pull-aparts. Since my husband loves maple icing I decided to add that too. If you don't have access to Watkins products, you could experiment with plain cinnamon and sugar in place of the Cinna-Cream Sprinkles.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon watkins cinna-cream sprinkles
- 2 cans (8 oz) pillsbury buttermilk or homestyle biscuits
- ICING:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon water or milk
- 1/2 teaspoon maple extract
How To Make cinnamon maple pull-aparts
-
Step 1Heat oven to 425.
-
Step 2Melt butter and mix with Cinna-Cream Sprinkles. Pour into 8" or 9" square pan.
-
Step 3Cut biscuits into 4 pieces each and spread out in pan. Bake 10-15 minutes until biscuits are brown on top.
-
Step 4Thoroughly mix powdered sugar, water or milk, and maple extract. You can do this while the biscuits are still in the oven, or wait until they come out.
-
Step 5Remove pan from oven and invert on large plate. Spread icing carefully over biscuits. Serve hot or warm.
-
Step 6NOTE: DO NOT mix icing in advance - it thickens quickly and becomes more difficult to spread.
