My mother-in-law made this bread as a special treat and gave every family member a loaf at Christmas.

Ingredients
- COMBINE & THEN COOL TO LUKEWARM
- 1 cup milk (scalded)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- DISSOLVE
- 1 package yeast
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- COMBINE MILK MIXTURE & YEAST THEN ADD EGG
- 1 egg
- ADD
- 4 cups flour
- SWIRL MIXTURE:
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
How To Make cinnamon bread

Step 1Combine milk, sugar and butter in small saucepan and heat until scalded.

Step 2While milk mixture is cooling down, dissolve yeast pkg. in 2 T. warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.

Step 3In large bowl, combine the cooled milk mixture and yeast mixture.

Step 4Add egg and beat well.

Step 5Add 4 cups flour. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Kneed for 2 minutes.

Step 6Allow dough to rise 15 minutes.

Step 7Roll dough into rectangle about 1/4" thick. Sprinkle swirl mixture evenly on top of rolled dough.

Step 8Roll dough up and turn ends under. Place in a greased loaf pan.

Step 9Let rise 1 hour.

Step 10Bake 40 minutes. Brush the top with melted butter (Optional). Take out of pan and cool on wire rack.
