My family and I live sweet breads! We grow so much zucchini in the summer so we love making breads, muffins, cakes etc with it. Hope you enjoy!

  • 1 c
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
  • 1/4 c
    canola oil
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 1/2 c
    zucchini grated
  • 1/2 c
    mini chocolate chips

  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Chocolate Zucchini Bread


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray or butter a 9" bread pan. Mix topping ingredients and set aside.
  2. Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa powder. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl beat eggs, sugars and oil until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and sour cream. Once well combined stir in grated zucchini.
  4. Add flour mixture to wet mixture until well combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  5. Pour mixture in bread pan and sprinkle topping on mixture. Bake in oven for 45 min. Let cool in pan 5-10 min before you take out the bread to cool on wire rack. Enjoy! Bread can be served warm as well. Eat it on it own or top with some ice cream, jam or butter!
