I have this recipe from a family cookbook, I believe the lady who gets credit is named Debbie. I cut back on the amounts of nuts I use, but it is still very good this way!!

  • 2 c
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 c
    maraschino cherry juice
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1 c
    maraschino cherries
  • 1 c
  • 2
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/4 Tbsp
    almond flavoring
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Cherry Nut Loaf


  1. Put dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat in the eggs, milk, cherry juice, oil and almond flavoring; beat until smooth.
  3. Cut the cherries in half and stir into the mixture with the chopped nuts.
  4. Bake at 350* for about one hour.
