Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1 - large can evaporated milk
- 1 - 10 ounce jar of maraschino cherries, including syrup
- 1 cup walnuts or pecans (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
How To Make cherry nut bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Grease two 9 x 5 bread loaf pans.

Step 2Sift sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter as for a pie crust. Add eggs, evaporated milk, cut up cherries, syrup from the cherries, nuts, vanilla and almond extract. Mix well by hand. Pour into 2 bread pans. Bake for 1 hour..or until toothpick comes out clean.
