I got this recipe out of one of my 150 cookbooks a couple years ago. I liked it so much, I made it for every occasion I could think of. Hope you enjoy it too!

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    pillsbury hot roll mix
  • 1 Tbsp
    (heaping) sugar
  • 1 stick
    margarine (or a little more)
  • 1
    small carton whipping cream
  • 2 1/2 oz
    unsalted sliced almonds
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar

How to Make Butter Almond Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Make hot roll mix according to directions. Add 1 tablespoon sugar to dough. Roll out dough to fit into a greased 11 x 15" pan. Do not have dough up on sides. Cover; let rise for 30 minutes. Take finger, punch holes close together into dough. In each hole, put a lump of butter. Spread whipped cream on top of dough and butter. Sprinkle on a good amount of sugar over all and put on almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. OH YUM!!!!
