breakfast butter ring
I make this every Christmas morning...It has become a tradition! On Mother's Day this year, we were invited to my son's for breakfast. He was cooking! I decided to contribute the butter ring to round out his feast. I tried to download a pic of this, but wasnt successful...too bad..its so pretty!

Ingredients
- 1 package active dry yeast, dissolve in 1/4 c warm water
- MIX TOGETHER
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups flour
- CUT IN
- 1 stick butter (not margarine)
- COMBINE
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 - egg yolks
How To Make breakfast butter ring

Step 1ADD TO FLOUR MIXTURE, ADD YEAST MIXTURE. MIX WELL. DOUGH WILL BE STICKY. FORM INTO A BALL AND COVER BOWL WITH PLASTIC WRAP AND REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT. DIVIDE IN HALF AND THEN INTO THIRDS. FORM EACH THIRD INTO A ROPE AND BRAID TOGETHER. FORM A RING. LET RISE ON GREASED PAN FOR 2 HOURS. BAKE @ 350 DEGREES 30 MINUTES WHILE STILL WARM BLOP JAM OR PRESERVES ON TOP, DRIZZLE WITH POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE AND SPRINKLE WITH SLIVERED ALMONDS.
