blueberry molasses gingerbread
We love gingerbread and the addition of the blueberries really takes it over the top. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 2 cups a. p. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 1 cup blueberries
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
How To Make blueberry molasses gingerbread

Step 1Cream butter & sugar. Add the egg and molasses - mix well.

Step 2Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon and salt and mix well. Measure out buttermilk in a measuring cup and dissolve baking soda in the buttermilk. Add buttermilk to the butter/sugar mixture.

Step 3Once mixed together, add dry ingredients and blend well. Gently fold in blueberries.

Step 4Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle the top of the batter with the 3 tblsp. of sugar.

Step 5Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Serve warm.
