best dang banana bread

The original recipe calls for 3 t. almond extract and 3 t. vanilla extract. I ran out of almond and added the coconut. I liked it and adjusted the recipe. If you do not like coconut then go back to the original. Sauce called for 1/2 t. each of vanilla and almond.

Ingredients
- 6 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 teaspoons baking soda
- 5 cups sugar
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons coconut extract
- 2 cups oil
- 1 cup butter
- 6 - eggs
- 6 - bananas
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- - topping
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice (not concentrate)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make best dang banana bread

Step 1Mix flour, salt and backing soda

Step 2Mix sugar, buttermilk, extracts, oil, melted cooled butter and eggs. stir in mashed bananas.

Step 3Mix in dry ingredients.

Step 4Grease and flour 4 large loaf pans or about 16 small loaf pans.

Step 5Bake in 375 degree oven for 60-75 minutes for large pans, checking every 5 minutes after 1 hour. Bake 40-45 minutes for small pans checking every 5 minutes after 30 minutes.

Step 6Remove breads from pan while still hot. Return bread to pans. Pur topping over hot bread and let stand 30 minutes.

Step 7TOPPING Add all topping ingredients to a small pot and bring to a low boil. Cook on low heat until sugar is dissolved.
