Take a dish of this bread to any gathering, it will be gone in no time...I take it quite often to Church dinners, the Pastor requests it every time! So moist and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn meal - yellow
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup melted, butter
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 - beaten eggs

How To Make ~ best corn bread ~

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. In a large bowl, toss together, flour, sugar, corn meal, salt and baking powder. To dry ingredients add, beaten eggs, honey, melted butter, oil, milk..stir only until blended. Pour batter into prepared dish and bake for 45 minutes or until pick inserted to center comes out clean.
  • Step 2
    Serve warm with butter! Goes great with chili.
