  • 2 c
    ap flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    butter at room temp
  • 3/4 c
    light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c
    white sugar
  • 1
  • 1 tsp
  • 5 Tbsp
  • 1 c
    mashed banana
  • 4 oz
    (1/2 bag) peanut butter and milk chocolate chips (optional)

How to Make Best Banana Bread Ever


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 9x5" loaf pan.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugars together in stand mixer with paddle attachment until light and fluffy, scraping bowl at least once.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, milk and banana to creamed mixture and beat until combined.

    Add sifted dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in chips if desired.
  5. Bake for one hour or until top is brown and cracked and tester inserted in the middle comes out clean. Mine took an hour and 15 minutes, but start checking at an hour. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
