Started baking this years ago around Thanksgiving for my brother and the rest of the boys at the fire house. For about 15 years this recipe has been asked for and raved about time and time again.

Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons room temp water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups ripe bananas, mashed
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees and butter/cooking spray two 8 or 9 inch loaf pans.

Step 2Sift together your flour, salt and baking soda and set aside.

Step 3Melt butter and then mix with sugar until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Add bananas, vanilla, and water and mix well. Fold in your flour mixture until all flour is moist.

Step 4Divide batter evenly between both loaf pans and bake for 50-60 minutes or until tester inserted into center of bread comes out clean.
