My dear friend, Barb, served this at our church's coffee bistro today and it was a real hit and so moist!! Easy recipe that uses a cake mix!!!

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix (generic works great)
1 cup mashed bananas
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup oil
3 - eggs
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans; your preference)

How To Make barb's banana bread - steph

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Step 2

This is a very versatile bread. Barb uses a Cherry Cake mix and adds the bananas and all other ingredients. Also a glaze using maraschino cherry juice and powdered sugar is very good over the Cherry Bread. She has also used a chocolate cake mix and added the bananas and all other ingredients and it is excellent as well.
