this banana bread has a little kick in it with the rum it is extra good and all my family and friends love it

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter
3/4 c
brown sugar
2 large
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla extract
3 large
ripe bananas, mashed
1 c
all purpose flour
1 c
whole wheat flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
dark rum

How to Make Banana Rum Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1preheat oven to 350. grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • 2in a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 3beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing between additions.
  • 4beat in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas until fully incorporated. mix in the flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt. stir in the rum.
  • 5transfer batter to prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • 6cool loaf in pan for 10 minutes before removing and transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
