This is an old recipe passed down to me. The bread is always moist and delicious! This is a simple recipe, with few ingredients, but it packs a LOT of flavor! Enjoy.

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 2 large eggs
- 4 - crushed bananas
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
How To Make banana nut bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Toss all together; Bananas next to last; nuts last. I use my Kitchen Aid mixer for this. The batter will be kind of thick until bananas are added.

Step 2Bake in greased and floured loaf pan. Bake time will vary depending on your oven. My loaf takes appx 1 hour 8 minutes.
