banana nut bread
This is the best banana nut recipe I've ever found. It came out of the "My Great Recipes" monthly recipe collection in the 80's.

Ingredients
- 3 - very ripe bananas
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1-1/2 tablespoon buttermilk or sour cream
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
How To Make banana nut bread

Step 1Place bananas, eggs, butter, buttermilk OR sour cream, lemon juice, and sugar into a blender or food processor. Whirl until smooth.

Step 2Mix together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

Step 3Pour banana mixture over flour mixture and stir just until flour is moistened. Stir in the nuts.

Step 4Turn into greased 9-1/2"x4-1/2" brad loaf pan, OR into two 3-1/2"x7-1/2" nut bread pans.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 55-65 minutes or until bread tests done when a skewer is inserted in the center.

Step 6Allow to cool 5 minutes in pan, then turn out onto wire rack.
