Everyone in my family loves this banana bread, the aroma of it cooking draws kids of all ages to the kitchen. I use half splenda and half sugar so my father in law can eat a little too as he has diabetes, but it is fine to use all sugar or even all splenda.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/2 c
    splenda
  • 1 stick
    butter softened
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    mashed very ripe bananas

How to Make banana nut bread

Step-by-Step

  1. pre heat oven to 350'. spray 9x5in loaf pan with cooking spray an set aside.
  2. combine first 6 ingredients (your dry ingredients) in medium sized mixing bowl
  3. combine next 6 ingredients (your wet ingredients) in separate mixing bowl
  4. mash bananas and add to wet ingredients
  5. combine wet and dry ingredients together, but do not over mix (I just use a wire whisk as it doesn't require a lot of mixing)
  6. pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 1hr.
  7. let cool for at least 15min. and enjoy!
