  • 2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 large
  • 1 1/2 c
    bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp
  • 3 Tbsp
    brewed coffee
  • 1/3 c
    walnuts, chopped

How to Make Banana Mocha Bread


  1. Butter an 8 x 4 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, combine sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and coffee.
  3. Combine flour mixture and egg mixture until just combined. Carefully mix in mashed bananas and blend. Combine walnuts in a little bit of flour and then fold into mixture.
  4. Pour mixture into baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 55-65 minutes. Let bread rest for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
