I got this recipe from my sweet sis who is the baker in our family. I'm not sure where she got it from, but it is soooo good! I've also made it without nuts (my husband doesn't care for them), and it is equally as good to me.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

How To Make banana bread w/chocolate

  • Step 1
    Cream softened butter and sugar together.
  • Step 2
    Add 1 egg at a time, beating until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Blend in bananas.
  • Step 4
    In a separate bowl stir together flour with baking soda, baking powder, salt, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips.
  • Step 5
    Add flour mixture to banana mixture stirring only to moisten.
  • Step 6
    Transfer to greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 7
    Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan, cool.
