There are about as many banana bread recipes as there are family members! Here's one that my godmother made. (Sorry, she wasn't great at giving many directions!)

1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
2 - eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
1 cup sour milk
1 cup chopped nuts

How To Make banana bread, theresa's

Step 1

Bake at 400 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. Makes 4 mini loaves.

Step 2

Note: to make sour milk, put 1 T vinegar or lemon juice in the measuring cup, then add milk to fill the 1 cup measure.
