There are many banana bread recipes I have eaten through the years, this one is Mom's from my childhood.

How to Make Banana Bread, Mom's


  1. Blend butter and sugar, add egg and mashed bananas. Sift in flour, soda and salt alternately with milk. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in well greased pan.
  2. Note: to make sour milk, put 1 T vinegar or lemon juice in the measuring cup, then add milk to fill the 1 cup measure.
