banana bread / moist and delicious

This bread is so good...my Aunt shared this recipe with me many years ago...It is one of the best I have ever had...add nuts or leave them out...it's delicious either way...another plus, is it's mixed in one bowl...hope you give it a try... My photos

Ingredients

  • 3 - bananas, ripe, mashed ( about 1 cup )
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups all purpose flour, i used unbleached
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup nuts ( optional )

How To Make banana bread / moist and delicious

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl combine sugar, oil, and eggs.
  • Step 3
    Beat in bananas.
  • Step 4
    Add remaining dry ingredients and combine. Fold in nuts. Batter will be thick.
  • Step 5
    Pour into prepared pan and bake for 60 minutes or until done. Insert a toothpick in center to check for doneness. If toothpick is clean when removed, the bread is done. Let set for 10 minutes, then remove from pan to cooling rack. Glaze if preferred. I left mine plain.
