Ingredients
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup mashed banana
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup pecans (or walnuts)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- STREUSEL-NUT-TOPPING (IF DESIRED)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup pecans (or walnuts)
How To Make banana bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom and 1/2 inch up the side of your loaf pan.

Step 2In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda.

Step 3In a small bowl cream eggs and butter. Then beat in banana with mixer. Add egg mixture to flour mixture. Combine, then fold in nuts.

Step 4Bake for 1 hour. Note: Check at about 40 minutes, if your loaf is browning too quickly put a foil tent over the top.

Step 5STREUSEL-NUT-TOPPING Combine 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and 3 tablespoons flour. Using a pastry blender cut in 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans. Put over top of batter.
