Ingredients

  • ·
    2 c sifted flour
  • ·
    1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • ·
    1/2 tsp baking soda
  • ·
    1 tsp salt
  • ·
    1/2 c chopped nuts
  • ·
    1/2 c margarine
  • ·
    1 c sugar
  • ·
    2 eggs
  • ·
    1 c banana, mashed (3 medium)

How to Make Banana Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix dry ingred and set aside. Start with margarine and sugar, beating well, and add eggs one at a time. Mash bananas and add; blend lightly. Add dry ingredients slowly, still blending lightly. Stir chopped nuts in by hand. Bake in a greased and floured glass or metal loaf pan. Let stand 10 min before turning out. Bake 70 min at 300
  2. You may substitute a butter-flavored baking stick for the margarine and 3/4 c chocolate chips can be added.
