1/2 cbutter flavor shortening
1 1/2 cmashed bananas (about 3-4 bananas)
1 Tbsplemon juice
1 tspvanilla extract
2 call-purpose flour
3 tspbaking soda
How to Make Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar, add eggs one at a time, add vanilla, banana, and lemon juice.
- In a medium bowl sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add flour mixture to banana mixture in three additions beat until just combine.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 9" by 5" metal loaf pan and until a toothpick inserted comes out clean about 50-55 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
